Skins and stuff by codysan. . .
If any of the folks who work on developing RightClick and the RightClick skin tool are listening . . . I have a couple of requests for a future edition of RC and Skintool.

1. The ability to skin submenus independently of the main menu and each other. I've skinned about 30+ RC menus so far and my biggest frustration is designing a skin that looks great on the main menu but doesn't really work for the submenus and this feature would add a lot of flexibility to the design process.

2. The ability to change the size and style of Separator Items and drop shadows

Thanks for listening

codysan, I believe that you can do what you ask , but you will have to do it by editing text not through the skin tool.

That must have something to do with "Number of Section Styles" I've always wondered how to start a new section. Is there an example out there which does this?

Yeah . . . I've started taking a closer look at the menuskin files . . . though I'm not sure what all the parameters and variables mean yet . . . but it couldn't hurt to play around with em and see what happens!!!!

download this obpack Link

change the extension to zip and extract it into the RightClick skins folder

you'll get seven new listings in the RightClick skins list
try Main Bar Skin , Start Popup Right , Start Popup

check out main.obskin and right.obskin , they reference start.obskin

CompanionSkin.Popup=start.obskin

that seems to make any of the "Folder menu" items use start.obskin , but the "Popup Menu" items still use the main.obskin . It's probably possible to change those to.

it appears any Object Bar skin that uses a verticle menu can be used for RightClick

I also found one that has an animated mouseover effect!
I'll get you a link later I gotta get to sleep now

Digital City Object Bar Link

This one shows how you can do an animated mousover. I bet you could animate other parts to, seperators for instance...

I think there are some very interesting things possible on the skinning of rightclick.

I am further expanding experimentation to include some OB and DX plugins...

Thanks for the info. I'll play with it when I have a chance too.
